MERTON NEEDS A BREAST CANCER SCREENING CENTRE
Merton is the only borough in Southwest London without a breast cancer screening centre. Women in Merton are being let down, and that needs to change.
Despite Labour-run Merton Council securing funds from the NHS to provide a breast cancer scanner in the borough, there is still no service being provided within Merton.
We are calling on NHS South West London and the Board of St George’s, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals to rectify this issue of health inequality and deliver a breast cancer screening site in Merton as soon as possible.
